Okay ladies... I have been blessed for this to be my first offseason living with my guy. I am incredibly excited, however I have no idea what I’m going to do for money. I am lucky enough to not have to quit my job because I am a nanny and the mother is taking maternity leave the exact time of the offseason. But what do I do to pay my bills for 5 months? I have a Bachelors degree so this shouldn’t be that hard, right? Wrong. Because no one will hire someone for 5 months of commitment. So what do some of you ladies recommend to make ends meet and still enjoy the offseason together for the first time?

Dear Krissy,

We've all been where you are but the best part about this baseball community is we can try to help each other and share our experiences. My first season with my fella was in 2014 and I felt the same way. I needed to help us financially and I had no idea. I've worked in many different spots these past few years and it's hard trying to find a sense in security in that! So today I actually have an interview with VIPKID. It's an online teaching school teaching English to kiddos over in Beijing. It's a 6 month commitment and YOU set your schedule. The pay is pretty great and you can receive bonuses as well. I would love to send you information on it if you're interested. Also, I've had many girlfriends in baseball sell Lipsense (I'm sure you've seen it on Facebook). They do it as a side gig and love it. I would be more than happy to get you into contact with some ladies who understand our situations. Hope this helps and good luck to you guys!
